First Blog in Awhile
Hey. So I haven't written since April. That will change soon. :) I made a 101 things to do 1001 days. You can check it out in my page. I have been busy all day from writing a teaching philosophy to emailing track listings to Josiah because I made him some awesome mixed CDs. :) Then also writing my 101 things in 1001 days.
It has been raining off and on all day today in Montgomery. Apparently it is raining/pouring cats and dogs at home . My daddy had to drain our pool not once but twice. I also have a friend at HC his girlfriend is staying the night with me because he does not want her to drive up there. I would not want C. to go up there either so I gladly accepted. She stayed with me a few times last school year and she is amazing.
I have a new blog theme and other stuff because my amazing my biffie. L.A. . :)
I have more to say, but I will leave that up to possibly tomorrow. :)

Update on Goals
This week is the start of the new me. :)
1. The hair. I still love it. Still getting used to my hair being a curly mess sometimes. BUT overall BEST decision Ive ever done with my hair. Will probably keep on doing it.
2. Diet = going great actually. My pants are getting loser by the day it feels like it.
I am very proud of myself. I can't wait to go home this summer and cook stuff!!
3. Fill my life who encourage me instead of down.That is going great actually. I am feeling more blessed by people I love and care about more and more every day.
4. LOVE ME FOR ME. Like I said this is hard BUT there is breakthrough people. I actually feel BEAUTIFUL today!! I told that to myself today!!! It had been awhile since I set it too. My self esteem is coming back people.
5. Thank my friends for being my friend. Ive been doing good on this one. My friends are my second family while I'm at school and at home. I love them so much.
6. I am going to write a thank you notes to my friends who are graduating. :) and :(

My Best Guy Friend
Today at Chapel Dr. West talked about friends/friendship. It got me thinking Josiah. Josiah is my best friend in the guy form. haha. It made me think about how we met and who would have thought almost 4 years later I would still be friends with him. First off let me explain how we met.
Most of you know what happened to me those years so I am shortening the story.
High School not my favorite 4 years spent on this Earth. Well 9th grade wasn't bad. However by the end of 10th and into the 11th grade. School was not where I wanted to be 8 hours of the day. I had it all in 9th grade. Great friends, great self esteem, the works. It all came crashing down with a boy. My best friend at the time decided to believe her boyfriend at the time about a certain subject who she only known four months to me her best friend of 6th grade. Then the lies and rumors happened. People chose to believe them and I was devastated. I was on the verge of committing suicide at one point because I did not have anyone it felt like. My self esteem went out the window. I even almost transferred schools senior year because I was so fed up. I finally decided it only one more year I can do this. That decision changed my life.
I was in band in high school. I had a love/hate relationship with it. I was in all guy section being one of two girls with 15-20 guys. You kind of have to stick up for yourself and have tough skin. Well one day there this guy who was watching us do sets and I was like who is that? It did not look like veteran or someone I knew. So after that I introduced myself I was like "Hi I'm Kaitlyn and you are?" He said back "I'm Josiah and I'm new here." It made me laugh the way he said it I don't know why but it did. I hadn't laughed in awhile so I was so happy. The more we talked we realized we had a lot of things in common. Every day we talked and talked. We even got lockers next to each other even though he never used it. We got parking spots next to each other which he did use. He then became my best guy friend. School came and went the summer came.
That summer was great. There was not a day besides when I was in Costa Rica that we did not talk or text. It was so hard leaving him when I went off to college. I almost thought I would never see him or talk to him again because most of my guy friends had used me to get girls I was friends with. I knew he was not that way at all.
Here we are almost 4 years later and still best friends. We text all most every day at least or every other day. There are a few things I want to say to you Josiah because I know you read these blogs. hehe.
Josiah,
I am so proud of you!!! Well you already know that. Going to school and full time job I commend/proud of you!! I am also proud of you telling your testimoney in May!! Thank you so much for being here with me through thick and thin. I don't know where I would be without you these past 4 years. From you encouraging me, making me laugh, being the brother I never had, looking out for me, keeping me on the straight and narrow path, plus more. To what you will be doing in the future stalking my first boyfriends/husband (once I get him of course), coming to graduation (which I am holding you to buddy, you promised), etc. You have come so far since I met you. Your relationship with Christ is one I pray my future husband has. I can't wait to see the future has for our friendship. You will be Uncle Josiah when I have kids. There's so much I can say to you. I love your hugs they make everything better. Even though we don't see each a lot it feels like we pick up where we left off. You are one amazing man Josiah and whoever is lucky to have you as her husband is a very lucky girl. I pray for her every day. Well that's all for now.

This Week

1. I got a new hair do. I got a perm with loose curls. I LOVE it. I can actually wear hand bands.I will update with a picture soon I promise. :)
2. I started a diet this week and I am actually going to keep on doing it. I AM DOING IT FOR ME FOR REAL THIS TIME!!!
3. Fill my life who encourage me instead of down. Lately I have been down in the dumps. I don't know why, but I am.
4. LOVE ME FOR ME. This one I am going to have a problem with, but I need to do it. It has been a long time coming for that one. I haven't since maybe my freshman year in high school before all the high school crap went down.
5. Thank my friends for being my friend. I love y'all so much and y'all mean so much to me. From the friends I have at home in no particular order ( The Rachels, Josiah, Amanda, Rebekah, Sandra plus a few more) to the ones I have at HC. ( Lauren ( biffile) , Courtney, Sarah, Nichole, Tiff Fran, my freshies, Andy, Erin, Amy, and Charity plus a few more) If I forgot you I'm sorry my brain is fried from being at school today.
Also for Liddy I don't know where I would be without her.

Valentine's Day
I was reminded of a text my best guy friend sent me awhile ago.Sidenote: HEY JOSIAH MARTIN ERWIN!!haha
I was complaining to him about this.I feel like sometimes I won't be able to relate to my future kids. Sorry kids Mommy never dated anyone in middle or high school or maybe even college . He then said to me no they will respect you because you waited for that special someone.
The more I thought about what he said. It made sense. I have not wasted myself like some people in this world. I have not yet given away anything to someone yet. I hope to say maybe the only guy that I give everything to is my future husband.
That will be something really special to say to my kids. Yes it took forever, but mommy wanted to make sure that daddy was the one to rescue her. That she did not have kiss a lot of frogs to get her prince. Her prince was her one and only.

Tomorrow
Tomorrow is going to be a rough. Saying goodbye to someone is always hard. Even when you think there is always tomorrow. Even though I did not have the best high school experience there is always the people that touch your heart. One of those guys is Taylor Crane.
My class and I lost another great, sweet, young man last weekend unexpectedly. He was one of sweetest, kindest, guys I have ever known.
He would always wave to me if I saw him in the neighborhood driving around since we basically lived around the corner from one another.
His death makes me realize all the stuff he and Zack ( he died senior year) won't get to do ever in life. Like for example have a wife, kids, and for Taylor not see his two little sisters graduate from high school, college. See them get married and have kids.
We take life so much for granted and we are never promised another day. God does not promise that you will live to see these things. You are lucky if you do. I hope that I am that lucky that I get to experience these things stated above.
Just always remember Jeremiah 29: 11
11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future
We don't know why Taylor and Zack were taken from us so early. Only God knows and there is a reason behind it. That is what is getting through this time. I know it is hard OMHS class of 2008, we will get through this tough time. I love y'all so much even though I disliked high school so much.

My class and I lost another great, sweet, young man last weekend unexpectedly. He was one of sweetest, kindest, guys I have ever known.
He would always wave to me if I saw him in the neighborhood driving around since we basically lived around the corner from one another.
His death makes me realize all the stuff he and Zack ( he died senior year) won't get to do ever in life. Like for example have a wife, kids, and for Taylor not see his two little sisters graduate from high school, college. See them get married and have kids.
We take life so much for granted and we are never promised another day. God does not promise that you will live to see these things. You are lucky if you do. I hope that I am that lucky that I get to experience these things stated above.
Just always remember Jeremiah 29: 11
11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future
We don't know why Taylor and Zack were taken from us so early. Only God knows and there is a reason behind it. That is what is getting through this time. I know it is hard OMHS class of 2008, we will get through this tough time. I love y'all so much even though I disliked high school so much.

Grades from last semester are the best they have ever been!!! :)

First Thing
First thing is first. I am new to this well... I kind am. I have had a blog off and on for a few years. Now I am actually going to do one!! :) So here is my introduction.
My name is Kaitlyn. I am 21 years old and I go to Huntingdon College.First off I am believer in Jesus Christ and he is my Savior!! :) I have a love/hate relationship with HC with it sometimes. You will see this probably. I don't not have that many friends, but I have a lot of acquaintances. The few friends I have make me very blessed.
I have never had a boyfriend in my ripe age (haha) . I am waiting on him. Let's see my family make me blessed, but then make me insane. (whose family doesn't do that) I will proably do a lot of 30 day challenges so you get to know me more!! That is all!! :) Please be free to comment. :)
